"Borrowing" ideas from another group on campus... "The Buzz" seems to be a good place to be in the future for Fall Membership drive. Seems like there is a lot of freshmen involved, and that groups can work at events (e.g. a basketball bungie game?) on this particular night. Also great start for publicity AND getting Kaplan signups.

First call for posts!!
What did YOU do over the summer, Prytaneans??
Vacation abroad? Romantic roadtrip with the significant other? Worked in a prestigious lab, big corporate office, family restaurant? Hung out with your besties, watched a million movies? Frequented a local club and drunk yourself silly every other Thursday (disclaimer: PLEASE be responsible. Prytanean does not endorse underage or over-consumption of alcohol?
Email the Pryt Blog at prytblog @ gmail!! TELL ME WHAT YOU DID!! Send a picture or two, too!
About a week ago, my parents and I made a random trip to Portland, Maine. We trapped lobsters! Not too smelly, very fun and delicious with butter. They really look like alien bugs.

The Prytanean Women's Honor Society...
...now doesn't that just sound divine?
Hello to all the lovely Prytaneans (and guests) who will be reading this!
As you can see, I have taken the liberty of creating a blog, which will hopefully become an informative (yet unobtrusive) space for ideas big and small, striped and spotted, furred and feathered... you name it. Prytaneans, as long as you are passionate about IT, whatever IT is, you should have a chance to present your thoughts regarding IT to your fellow members. After all, we are a SOCIETY--feel free to express. If anything, this will be an experiment with another means of communication--and maybe a really good excuse for not getting sleep on my part.
So let's see where this takes us! This should be light, fun--a way for us to feel more in sync with one another. This should NOT be burdensome. My predictions say that baby Pryt Blog will be part brainstorming space, part officer bulletin board, part investigative journalism, part newsletter, part frivolity, part rally ring, part press release / PR...
As long as it harbors even a modicum of relation with the Honor Society, as long as it's clean, sensitive, and fair, anything goes. HAVE AT IT!*
Sincerely,
Eda C, your adoring Fundraising Chair
*Whoops. There is a catch. We will have a system for posting, editing, and commenting. I just need to figure that out first.
